Usual Suspects (2024)

No Codes announce their second album, Usual Suspects, scheduled for release in November 2024. Following the success of their critically acclaimed debut album, the band continues to push the boundaries of contemporary jazz. The band’s main artistic philosophy is to explore and challenge the norms and conventions expected in jazz. Since 2018, the group has evolved towards a more collective approach, blurring the boundaries between composition and improvisation.

No Codes promises an innovative musical journey, blending modern jazz, tradition, free jazz and contemporary music, and exploring unexpected influences such as world music and punk/metal. Usual Suspects promises to be a daring and captivating experience, skilfully combining creativity and experimentation. The album marks an exciting new chapter for No Codes, consolidating their presence in the contemporary jazz musical landscape. The musical experience on this album includes moments of explosive energy as well as contemplative and meditative moments, always underpinned by the complicity of the band members, which has grown considerably over the last few years.

No Codes (2018)

The band’s eponymous album, inspired by the rhythms and colors of the Andes, Motown and Free Jazz, No Codes offers a sound research inspired by the jazz tradition without necessarily copying it in genre. The album No Codes is the fruit of collective research and a desire to explore and push back the boundaries of instrumental jazz music.
